Helping the School
Families often ask for ways in which they can contribute to the school. We are a non-profit so, needless to say, there are many. Donations of time, money and/or services are always welcome. As a 501(c)(3) organization, please remember that any donation you make to the school is tax deductible. Many local corporations such as Pfizer offer corporate matching so your donation can go twice as far.
Donations of Time
Parents are both welcome and encouraged to participate in the classroom. Many come in and share family cultural experiences and traditions. We have a number of international families and the children find the sharing of these experiences fascinating. Or perhaps you have work, life, hobby or travel experiences that the children would find interesting? We also have work parties in the spring/fall to help spruce up the grounds. Many hands make light work and this is a wonderful way to meet other families.
Board of Directors
The school is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Members include current and alumni parents as well as people from the local community. We welcome new members and this is a great way for parents to become involved in the school community and assist in the operations of ACG.
Fundraising
To assist us with our operating budget, we organize a number of fundraising events throughout the year. Families are encouraged to participate in whatever capacity they are able. If you can afford to donate – great, thank you! If you cannot, that's fine too. We are always in need of assistance in the planning and preparation of our events. If you can help, this would be greatly appreciated.
We have partnered with Razoo to help us take donations online. It's quick and easy and they take major credit cards. Razoo also allows us to easily create challenge or matching grants. If you or your company would like to establish a challenge or matching grant, please get in touch.
Box Tops for Education
Look for the Box Tops logo on hundreds of products in almost every aisle of the grocery store. All you need to do is clip and bring them to the school — each one is worth 10¢ for ACG.
Even easier, you can earn eBox Tops while shopping online at dozens of participating retailers that you probably already patronize (including Apple, Barnes & Noble, Gap, Lands End and Nordstrom. A full list can be viewed here.) Simply visit the Box Tops site and register for an account. Specify that you would like your eBox tops to go to ACG. Then, whenever you need to buy something, start at the Box Tops Marketplace. Click your desired retailer and eBox Tops will be applied for any purchases made during that session.

The teachers maintain a running Amazon wishlist of items that they would find helpful in the classroom. If you are looking for a way to help the school or celebrate a special occasion, please consider making a donation.
